General Liability insurance covers claims of bodily injury or other physical injury or property damage. Commercial General Liability policies also cover the cost to defend or settle claims – even if the claims are fraudulent.


Amazon’s Professional Selling Plan Insurance Requirements

Sellers with professional selling plans on must
provide proof of Commercial General Liability insurance.
This insurance, obtained at the seller’s expense, shall cover
up to $1,000,000 per occurrence and in the aggregate and
must include products liability, bodily injury, or personal
injury, property damage, and other requirements as stated
in the Participation Agreement. The insurance must indicate
that “, Inc., and its affiliates and assignees” are
added as additional insureds.

The Certificate of Insurance must be the original document,
contain an additional insured endorsement, list all seller’s
subsidiaries or DBAs covered by the certificate provided,
provide at least 30 days’ notice of cancellation, modification,
or non-renewal, show complete insurance carrier names
as listed in the A.M. Best Property & Casualty Guide, be
completed in its entirety and signed.

You may also satisfy the insurance limits by using any
combination of Commercial General Liability and Umbrella
and/or Excess Liability insurance.

Professional Selling Plan Insurance Requirements

Products Liability/Products Completed Operation Insurance

Product Liability Insurance protects the business from claims related to the manufacture or sale of product/goods to the public. It covers the manufacturer’s or seller’s liability for losses or injuries to a buyer, user or bystander caused by a defect or malfunction of the product, and, in some instances, a defective design or a failure to warn. When it is part of a Commercial General Liability policy, the coverage is called Products Completed.

Other Options You Might Want Or Need

Stock / Stored Products / Business Property
Did you know if you have a fire at your home your stock/
products might not be covered? Most insurance carriers have
an exclusion for business personal property at your home.
This coverage will cover stock/product that you have in your
insured location.

Hired/Non-Owned Auto Liability
Covers damages the insured is legally obligated to pay due
to bodily injury or property damage arising out of the use,
loading or unloading of a hired or non-owned automobile
in connection with the insured’s business.

Data Breach

Tenant Legal Liability
Broadens the traditional ‘’fire legal’’ coverage to encompass
all property damage to the scheduled premises rented to
the insured. The limit is equal to the Damages to Premises
Rented to you.
